- 10L: £35.50
- 25L: £85.00
When you need it
- Tide-line scum has built up on a vinyl liner.
- Mineral or dust stains are visible on the liner surface.
- Liner has lost colour from oil deposit film.
- Annual deep clean before winterising.
- Spring opening clean of an above-ground vinyl pool.
How to use
- Drop water level 5-10 cm below tide-line if cleaning waterline.
- Dilute 1 part cleaner to 5 parts fresh water in a spray bottle.
- Apply to liner section by section.
- Leave to dwell for 3-5 minutes only; do not allow to dry.
- Wipe with non-abrasive cloth or soft sponge.
- Rinse thoroughly with pool water before moving on.
Dosing guide
Apply diluted 1:5; one 1 L bottle covers approximately 30 m of vinyl waterline.
- For 10 m liner section, add 50 ml diluted to reach Tide-line clean.
- For 30 m above-ground liner, add 200 ml diluted to reach Full perimeter clean.
- For 60 m inground liner, add 400 ml diluted to reach Full perimeter clean.
- For Spot mineral stain, add 20 ml undiluted spot to reach Targeted clean.
- For Annual deep clean, add Plan 1 L undiluted to reach Full liner.
How it works
pH-neutral non-ionic surfactant blend based on alkylpolyglycoside (APG) at 8-12% w/w, formulated for vinyl-safe cleaning.
The non-ionic surfactant lifts oil and dust deposits without disrupting plasticiser content of PVC. Neutral pH means no etching or fading even on long contact.
Acidic tile cleaners or solvent degreasers strip plasticiser from vinyl, hardening and cracking liners over time. A neutral surfactant blend cleans without ageing the liner.
Frequently asked questions
How do I dilute it?
1 part cleaner to 5 parts fresh water in a spray bottle.
How long do I leave it?
3-5 minutes only; do not let it dry on the liner.
Will it bleach my liner?
No. pH-neutral surfactant; no bleach, no solvent.
Pack sizes?
1 L spray and 5 L refill drums.
Above-ground or inground?
Both. Same chemistry suits any PVC liner regardless of pool style.
Is it the same as tile cleaner?
No. Tile cleaner is acidic; vinyl cleaner is neutral. Acids damage liner over time.
What is the active ingredient?
Alkylpolyglycoside (APG) non-ionic surfactant 8-12% w/w.
Why neutral pH?
Acid and alkali both leach plasticiser from PVC vinyl, accelerating cracking and fading. Neutral cleaners preserve liner life.
Does it work on fibreglass?
Yes, but tile cleaner is faster on fibreglass. Save vinyl cleaner for vinyl.
Stain won't lift?
Mineral stains need an acidic spot remover; this is for organic deposits.
Ghosting after rinse?
Rinse harder; reduce dwell time next round.
Vinyl cleaner vs tile cleaner?
Vinyl is neutral and surfactant-only; tile cleaner is acidic for scale. Use right product for right surface.
Vinyl cleaner vs degreaser?
Degreaser is alkaline for cartridge soaks; vinyl cleaner is neutral spray for liner. Different jobs.
