How to use

  1. Test sanitiser; ensure free chlorine is below 5 ppm or bromine below 8 ppm.
  2. Pour 100 ml of Instant Filter Cleaner per 1500 L into the skimmer with the pump on high.
  3. Run the jets on full for 60 minutes, uncovered.
  4. Test sanitiser and pH; adjust if required.

Dosing guide

Use no more than once per week. The product is designed as a top-up between scheduled deep cleans, not as a replacement.

How it works

A low-foaming liquid blend of fast-action surfactants and bio-degradable chelators formulated to dissolve oily soiling within minutes rather than the hours needed for a soak.

Surfactants emulsify body-oil films at the cartridge surface so oils flow into the bulk water and are caught by the next filter pass. Chelators bind iron and calcium so they too release from the pleat surface. The whole cycle completes in 60 minutes of full circulation.

Cartridge filters lose 10-20% of flow per week of use, mostly to surface oil glaze. An in-tub top-up clean restores flow without the downtime of a soak, keeping the spa ready to use between full service intervals.

Frequently asked questions

How quickly does it work?

60 minutes of full circulation lifts surface oils. Deep matting still needs an overnight soak.

How often can I use it?

Once per week as a top-up between full overnight soaks.

Do I have to remove the cartridge?

No. The product is dosed into the skimmer and works with the cartridge in place.

Will it replace my monthly soak?

No. It complements the soak by maintaining flow between services.

How many doses does 1 L cover?

Around 10 doses for a 1500 L hot tub.

Is it safe for salt and bromine systems?

Yes. It is salt-cell safe and compatible with chlorine, bromine and MPS sanitiser systems.

Why does it not need a soak?

The fast-action surfactants emulsify oils at far higher rates than soak chemistry, so a single circulation cycle is enough.

Will it damage paper pleats?

No. The dilute concentration in tub water is well below thresholds for paper or polyester pleat damage.

Does it affect pH?

Marginally. Expect a 0.1-0.2 pH lift, which usually self-corrects within 24 hours.

Flow is still poor after dosing?

Cartridge is matted. Run an overnight soak with Filter Cartridge Cleaner.

Cloudy water after dosing?

Run filter for 4 hours; add 50 ml clarifier per 1500 L if cloudiness persists.

Foam appearing?

High organic load. Dose Foam Away and schedule the next overnight soak.

Instant cleaner vs cartridge soak?

Soak is for full reset every 4 weeks; instant cleaner is the in-between top-up that holds flow steady.

Instant cleaner vs hot tub flush?

Flush is for pipework before draining. Instant cleaner is for the live filter cartridge between services.
